The venue is well known in Norwich be it through previous names such as Skippers or Hectors House or by its current title; 18 Bedford Street. This beautiful, grade II listed, building stands proudly at the junction of Bridewell alley and Bedford Street. First glance would suggest a single floor venue however closer inspection reveals three floors offering a variety of entertainment experiences, including a private roof terrace courtyard.

The venue celebrates all that is Norwich and Norfolk, through its heritage and the business commitment to engage local suppliers and tradesmen. From the outset the owners of this exciting venture insisted on employing local firms to complete the renovation works, once completed, the team sourced local suppliers who can deliver, wherever possible, fresh locally grown, seasonal, produce on a daily basis.

The photographs which hang through out the building are supplied by one of Norfolk’s best known wildlife photographers; Martin Hayward Smith, they are the source of much comment and have started many a debate on the exact location of certain pictures. Every image is taken from the delightful publication Elements of the North Norfolk Coast a true celebration of our Norfolk coast line which fits in completely with the values of 18 Bedford Street.
